This workshop will develop the skills and knowledge to increase self-awareness and self-management by:

  • Recognising your own triggers and cues;
  • Identifying the impact of your own emotions on others in the workplace;
  • Strategies to control your own emotional responses;
  • Recognising and appreciating the emotional strengths and weaknesses of others;
  • Promoting the development of emotional intelligence in others; and
  • Utilising emotional intelligence to maximise team outcomes.

  • Have self-awareness - The ability to recognise and understand your emotions.

You will need to allocate sufficient time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on-campus and/or online as outlined in the study mode. You will also need to undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, skills practise and completing assessment requirements.
