We want to make sure that the transition from your home country to studying and living in Western Australia is as seamless as possible. 

We are dedicated to continuously improving our services to meet the needs and expectations of our international students so that your time in Western Australia is enjoyable, happy and productive.

All courses offered by South Regional TAFE to international students are registered on the Australian Government's Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) and are full time. Full time study at TAFE consists of a minimum of 20 hours of training per week. 

Through collaborative partnerships with industry, state-of-the-art facilities and lecturers who are experts in their field, our students can be sure they’ll have the right skills and be highly valued by employers.

TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA)

TAFE International Western Australia (opens in a new tab) (TIWA) is the unit within the Western Australian Department of Training and Workforce Development responsible for the recruitment and admission of international students studying at South Regional TAFE. 

TIWA is the registered training organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider for the delivery of training to international students enrolled in TAFE courses in Western Australia. 

Nationally recognised courses are delivered by South Regional TAFE on TIWA's behalf.

TIWA is responsible for the quality of training and assessment delivered by South Regional TAFE and for the issue of certification documentation to students.

Courses for international students

Courses on offer

At South Regional TAFE, you can study a TAFE qualification from Certificate level to Diploma. We deliver a range of courses at our modern facilities:

  • Early childhood education
  • Hospitality
  • Commercial cookery
  • Community Services
  • Individual support (Ageing)

Bursary for International Students

TIWA are currently offering bursaries of AUD$5,000 to study, work, and live in regional Western Australia!

Applications are now open for students starting February or July 2025.

When you apply online for an eligible study package(opens in a new tab) starting in 2025, you will automatically apply for this bursary.
