This course is part of the Lower fees, local skills initiative. From 1 January 2020 through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the course fees, capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession, plus resource fees and other fees that may apply to your course.

Study Mode Apprenticeship

When you complete this course you will be ready for a career as a plumber, or gasfitter. You will have the skills and knowledge to work effectively in the construction industry, how to safely install, alter and repair pipe work services and appliances to suit domestic, commercial and industrial needs, cold and hot water supply, gas supply, sewage, waste and rainwater disposal, how to install and repair roofing, gutters and drain pipes, how to make buildings waterproof, and workplace health and safety.

South Regional TAFE is transitioning this qualification to the new training package in 2024. Students will be enrolled into the new units developed to meet current and future industry needs. Fees may vary for courses transitioning to the new training package.

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to work as a Plumber and/or Gasfitter in the Construction Industry.
