Study Mode Apprenticeship

This is a trade qualification for carpenters in residential and commercial workplaces. It includes setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing and repairing products made using timber and steel products.

You will gain the knowledge and skills to carry out a range of building and construction task including using basic carpentry tools, power tools, carpentry materials, constructing a pitched roof, ceiling frame, wooden flooring, interpreting plans and applying work health and safety requirements.

  • You want hands-on experience and a solid foundation to build a successful career in Carpentry and the broader Construction Industry.
  • You want to transform your passion into skilled craftmanship as a Carpenter.

  • Enjoy manual work and have a good level of physical fitness.

  • Show well developed planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to work in the Building and Construction Industry. You will learn how to use carpentry tools and materials, construct a pitched roof, ceiling frame, flooring, interpret plans and apply Work Health and Safety requirements.

Time Commitment â€“ You will need to allocate appropriate time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on campus and/or online as outlined in your training plan; and undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, assessment preparation, research, and complete assessment requirements.
