Lower fees, local skills

Reduced course fees

How would you like to get a nationally recognised or accredited qualification but pay only half-price course fees? Or even less than half price! And how about a fees cap?

The Lower fees, local skills program commenced on 1 January 2020, with course fees reduced by up to 72% for eligible courses.

The maximum annual fee students will pay is also capped at $400 for eligible concession students and youth, and at $1,200 for non-concession students for each course of study.

These qualifications are matched up with priority industry areas and the skills employers are looking for, so you'll be job ready.

South Regional TAFE has the following courses on offer, under the Lower fees, local skills initiative.

Check out our FAQs at the bottom of the Skills Ready web page for more details and to see if you are eligible.
