Construction work is happening all across WA and builders need skilled workers who are ready to get on the worksite. The Work Safely in Construction Skill Set will get you job ready for entry level roles in the construction industry. This skill set covers how to follow mandatory work health and safety requirements in accordance with safety legislative requirements, how to use a range of construction equipment and tools including levelling devices, skills to work in a construction team, and basic construction work applications for new and existing structures including residential homes, units and apartments.
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited units:
- CPCCCM2005 Use construction tools and equipment
- CPCCCM2006 Apply basic levelling procedures
- CPCCOM1012 Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry
- CPCCVE1011 Undertake a basic construction project
- CPCCWHS2001 Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
- CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
