This course is part of the Lower fees, local skills initiative. From 1 January 2020 through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the course fees, capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession, plus resource fees and other fees that may apply to your course.

This qualification is designed to meet the needs of building project professionals and contract administrators working on small to medium building projects. Training will be provided in the areas of construction contract fundamentals, development of a streamlined contract administration process, project risk management, building application and approval process as well as understanding building plans and specifications.

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to effectively develop and action a building contract management plan and its key inclusions. It is designed to meet the needs of Building Project professionals and Contract Administrators working on small to medium building projects. This includes practical and strategic aspects of contract administration, effective management of project compliance, timelines and stakeholder relationships.

Training is provided in the areas of construction contract fundamentals, development of a streamlined contract administration process, project risk management, building application and approval process as well as understanding building plans and specifications, including managing construction materials, applying building codes and standards.

Time Commitment  You will need to allocate appropriate time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on campus and/or online as outlined in your training plan; and undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, assessment preparation, research, and complete assessment requirements.
