Physical component

In-class learning and work placement involves performing physical tasks such a mobilizing clients, massage, performing exercises, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling equipment, getting down to and up from the floor, and more. This requires light to hard physical effort and mobility.

In-class learning will involve physical contact between students. These instances might include contact between students of different genders and ages. However, this will never require disrobing. The lecturers will ensure that industry standards for appropriate touching and clothing are clearly explained and always met. It is the student's responsibility to raise any concern with the lecturers so to allow any reasonable adjustment to be discussed and implemented. It is important to keep in mind that such hands-on learning tasks are mandatory course components.
