Study Mode Traineeship

The South West of WA is celebrated for its world-class wine region and premium wine production. This course opens the door to a rewarding career in the wine industry, providing a pathway to entry-level roles such as vineyard assistant, winery hand, or cellar door attendant.

Cultivate a career in wine operations through a traineeship with this nationally recognised qualification, designed to support entry into the industry and future progression to a Certificate III in Viticulture.

As a trainee, you'll gain hands-on experience working with local wine producers while also receiving expert guidance through structured training on campus. This combination of real-world learning and technical instruction will equip you with the practical and communication skills needed to thrive in the viticulture industry.

Learn the step-by-step processes involved in grape harvesting, vine pruning and maintenance, and how to identify and manage plant diseases and disorders. You’ll also begin to develop foundational skills in wine tasting, assessing wine styles, and understanding vineyard operations.

This traineeship opens up opportunities to work in beautiful vineyard environments while building confidence in engaging with customers from a wide range of backgrounds.
