Through a combination of practical training and industry-relevant learning, in this course you will develop customer service skills, gain insight into key tourism sectors, and learn how to provide visitor information on popular attractions. This course is ideal for you if you are looking to start a career in travel, tourism, or hospitality or as a pathway to further studies in the field.

Time Commitment

You will need to allocate appropriate time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on-site and/or online as outlined in the study mode; undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, assessment preparation, and research to successfully complete this course.

Gain knowledge about various tourist destinations, their attractions and guiding tourists to make informed choices. Interpret aspects of Australian indigenous culture. Assist with the staging of activities or events and processing financial transactions.
  • Technology - Adapt to new tools, access digital resources, and integrate technology into your learning e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
