Estimated reading time: 1 minute

South Regional TAFE, Bunbury Campus united to host a vibrant and meaningful NAIDOC Week 50th Anniversary Celebration.

A powerful Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country started the events followed by a delicious BBQ featuring kangaroo and lamb patties.

Students and staff worked together to contribute to a stunning leaf mandala art project and a cultural quiz that assisted them to reflect on the rich history of our First Nations People.

A highlight of the celebration was the display of student artwork from Amaroo Primary School and Djiti Djiti Aboriginal School alongside a moving photographic tribute to the 50 Years of NAIDOC.

NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate First Nations culture, acknowledge the past and build a future built on understanding.
