Gain the skills and knowledge required to develop spreadsheets through the use of both cloud-based and non-cloud based spreadsheet applications.

This skill set is ideal for individuals employed in a range of environments who tend to be personally responsible for designing and working with spreadsheets under minimal supervision. These individuals are generally required to have intermediate knowledge and understanding of a number of spreadsheet applications.

Students in this course will learn:

  • Working safely and sustainably
  • Designing spreadsheets that address a range of data and organisational requirements.
  • Use software functions, graphics and support materials create spreadsheets that adhere to organisations requirements relating to style and presentation.
  • Key elements of formatting of spreadsheets appropriate to workplace documents, including the ability to calculate sum totals, averages, counts of values along with formulas and functions with addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and brackets.
  • How to create and modify intermediate-level charts for understanding data.
  • You would like to boost productivity by using excel to organise, analyse and visualise data.
  • You would like to improve decision making through insights from excel charts and tables.

This course aims to provide you with an opportunity to build on your basic excel skills and knowledge. You will develop spreadsheets through cloud-based and non-cloud-based spreadsheet applications of formats, formulas, functions and charts for data analysis.

Time Commitment  You will need to allocate appropriate time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on-site and/or online as outlined in the study mode; and undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, assessment preparation, research and complete assessment requirements.

    • Create and modify intermediate-level charts that analyse the dataset
