Study Mode On Campus

This course trains novice operators in the skills required to enter the industry as a certified wheeled front end loader operator.

The course covers:

  •     Plan and prepare for wheel loader operations;
  • Operate the wheel loader;
  • Carry out operator maintenance; and
  • Carry out housekeeping activities.

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited unit AHCMOM207 Conduct Front-end Loader Operations and an Accreditation wallet card.

  • You want to gain the skills to become a Certified Front End Loader Operator in the Agriculture Industry.

To make an informed choice about the suitability of this course, please consider the essential skills and knowledge below. You must: 

  • Have an interest in operating machinery and basic mechanical understanding.
  • Possess sound English reading and writing skills.
  • Demonstrate well-developed communication.
  • Have good hand-eye coordination for precise control of the machine’s movements.
  • Show sound level of fitness to perform practical assessments.
  • Display problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail.
  • Have spatial awareness to understand surroundings to manoeuvre the loader safely.
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Show ability to follow instructions and follow Work Health and Safety procedures.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to safely operate an excavator.

Time Commitment  You will need to allocate appropriate time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on-site and/or online as outlined in the study mode; and undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, assessment preparation, research and complete assessment requirements.

    • Plan and prepare for front end loader operations.
    • Operate the front-end loader.
    • Conduct operator maintenance.
    • Safely shut down and secure equipment after completing operations.
    • Conduct housekeeping activities.
