When you complete the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment you will be ready to start a rewarding career as a vocational trainer, assessor, or lecturer, either in the private or public sector.

You will gain the knowledge and skills to deliver and assess training, design and develop training programs, present to groups of learners, and participate in assessment moderation and validation.

To make an informed choice about the suitability of this course, please consider the essential skills and knowledge below. You must: 

  • Be passionate about sharing knowledge and training others.
  • Have effective language, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the willingness and ability to engage in public speaking.
  • Have a sound working knowledge of computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new ones.
  • Have expertise in a vocational industry area (e.g., Business or Mechanics) or a teaching qualification with a desire to improve the foundation skills of adults.
