This course is part of the Lower fees, local skills initiative. From 1 January 2020 through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the course fees, capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession, plus resource fees and other fees that may apply to your course.

Along with your trade qualification, successful completion of this course will enable you to apply for a Refrigerant Handling Licence with ARC, which is mandatory for those wishing to carry out work on automotive air conditioning.

You will complete AURETU103 - Service air conditioning and HVAC systems and AURETU104 - Diagnose and repair air conditioning and HVAC systems and apply for RPL or credit transfers for the remaining 11 units, depending on the year of qualification.
