This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as nail technicians to provide manicure and pedicare services, including the application of nail art and acrylic and gel nail enhancements.
Students will gain a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs. This includes client consultation on nail care products and services. Nail technicians may also be self-employed and responsible for managing their own nail station.

This course will give you the skills and knowledge to undertake client consultation on nail care products and services. You will be able to offer manicure and pedicure services as well as acrylic, gel and dip nail enhancements. You will explore your creativity and skill in nail art and learn to use all the equipment, product and tools of the trade. You will develop Customer Service skills, where discretion and judgement are required. You may work in a salon or be self-employed.
Time Commitment – You will need to allocate appropriate time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on-site as outlined in the study mode; and undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, assessment preparation, research and complete assessment requirements.
