When you complete this course, you will be ready for a career in cabinet making. You will have the skills and knowledge to perform a range of skills at trade-level for those working in furniture making and those involved in the manufacture and installation of fitted furniture typically in a kitchen, bathroom and related context. Installation skills may be applied to new or renovation work. The work is in a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, where some discretion and judgement is required in the selection of equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to work in the Cabinet and Furniture Making Industry. You will learn how to perform a range of skills to manufacture and install furniture in a kitchen, bathroom or related environment. Installation skills may be applied to new or renovation work.
Time Commitment – You will need to allocate appropriate time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on campus as outlined in your training plan; and undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, assessment preparation, research, and complete assessment requirements.
