It’s the perfect starting point for students considering a future in STEM pathways or emerging tech careers.
This course is part of the Lower fees, local skills initiative. From 1 January 2020 through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the course fees, capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession, plus resource fees and other fees that may apply to your course.

- Explore robotics tech — get hands‑on with sensors, actuators, controllers and the systems that make robots come alive
- Build and customise your own robotic car — assemble it, wire it, program it… and yes, you get to keep it
- Create 3D‑printed parts — design and print components using a 3D printer
- Code real robotic movements — write programs that control wheels, lights, sensors and automation sequences
- Operate D‑Bot robotic arms — learn how to code and command robotic arms to perform tasks with precision
- Work safely with electronics — use tools, components and digital tech confidently in workshop and lab environments
- Read and follow technical plans — turn drawings and diagrams into real, working prototypes
- Troubleshoot like a technician — diagnose issues, fix problems and fine‑tune your robotic creations.
