This half day course is an essential update for primary producers in all aspects of chemical use and is designed to maintain AusChem Accreditation. It covers new information in environmental safety, personal and occupational health and safety, legislation, spraying and calibration techniques, residues and resistance to chemicals.
This course is suitable for:
· Farmers/food producers
· People employed by a shire (not those contracting to a shire)
· DEC employees spraying on DEC land
· National Resource Management employees spraying on their land (not contract sprayers doing the job)
· Mine rehabilitation and weed eradication employees where they are spraying on mine land.
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of Attendance and a renewal of their AusChem Membership Number.
- You want to be safe, secure and skilled when working with chemicals in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management related Industries.
- You want to maintain your AusChem Accreditation. You must have completed AHCCHM304 Transport and store chemicals and AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases

It is designed to maintain your AusChem Accreditation. It covers new information in environmental safety, personal and occupational health and safety, legislation, spraying and calibration techniques, residues and resistance to chemicals.
Time Commitment – You will need to allocate appropriate time to complete this course. This includes attending classes on-site and/or online as outlined in the study mode; and undertake independent study outside of class hours, including private study, assessment preparation, research and complete assessment requirements.
