South Regional TAFE's new $8.6 million Collie Transition Training Centre has officially opened with students now undertaking training at the new purpose-built facility. The centre has been established to support workers to upskill, reskill and transition into new career opportunities.
The Centre features modern training environments focused on the resources and infrastructure sectors, including facilities for high-risk licence training, machine operation and laboratory-based learning. With the capacity to accommodate up to 550 training places each year, the centre will strengthen the region's training capability and support future economic growth as Collie continues its transition to a diversified economy.
South Regional TAFE Managing Director Blair Marsh said he is incredibly proud to welcome the first students studying at the new campus.
